area.
The Association is governed by a five-member Board of Directors made up of owners, and elected by the membership for two year staggered terms. The Board meets quarterly; February, May, August, and November at 6:00 pm on the second Monday at the Temecula office of Avalon Management, 29379 Rancho California Road Suite 206.
The Board uses the services of a professional association management company to run the day to day operations. Should you have a concern or question regarding California Sunset, please contact:

Architectural Issues:
Architectural decisions, including approving Home Improvement applications are made by an Architectural Committee comprised of homeowners that are appointed by the Board of Directors. The Architectural Committee meets each month to review homeowner submitted Home Improvement applications that are processed through the management company.
Violations:
The Board of Directors has directed the management company to perform inspections of the community twice monthly to ensure there are no violations of the governing documents. If a violation is found, the management company will issue a letter to the owner, which is the start of California Sunset’s enforcement policies. If you receive such a letter, it is generally due to one of these inspections. While no one likes getting this type of letter, it is through this process that your property values are maintained.
Common Area:
The Association is responsible for the tot lot park located on Cupeno Lane, the pump lot park located on Pechanga Drive, the two monuments and planters at the Wabash entry at Highway 79, including the medians and palm trees along Wabash. The Association is also responsible to maintain the perimeter wrought-iron fencing and gates at both parks, and the west-end of Pechanga Drive, adjacent to the creek bed area. As of February 2005, the Association is no longer responsible for the 51.97 acre creek bed area, previously known as Lot 159, nor the channel walls that align it. By membership vote and approval, it was deeded over to the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. The Association will continue to maintain the chain link entry gates at Wabash and Cupeno Lane. For any concerns or maintenance issues regarding the common areas, please contact Avalon Management at (951) 699-2918.
